Ideas for mounting your CB Radio and CB Antenna in the Xterra.

My Method of mounting my CB in my Xterra.
The method i use, is not the most practical, but it works great for the way i use it.
I mount my CB to my Lobo Rack in the back of the Xterra. While this is not the best for driving, i can move it to the front to use when driving when needed. I do most of my CB radio work, when the xterra is parked. The rear 12 volt plug is also nice for the rear mounted setup. It also keeps the front area nice and clean looking. I know for some of you this is not a option for many reasons, but remember, i can move it to the front at any time.

Xterra Lobo Rack, how to make a cargo shelf for your xterra.

How to make a Xterra "Lobo Rack" a neat cargo shelf that adds a lot more storage to the Xterra.

Love this mod, it was one of the first things i did to customize my Xterra. it really adds to the cargo space in the Xterra.  It is real easy mod to install. It took me about 1/2 hour and only cost about 10 dollars.

The added bonus of the logo rack is that when down, it doubles as a pet cage. This was a real treat for me, as my family loves to take are large dog Zen, a Chow / Shepard blend, with us on are adventures. So having this double as a pet cage was another bonus.

Finally, you can fold it down to keep stored item from falling into the back seat.

HOW TO MAKE THE LOBO RACK

LOBO RACK MATERIALS
1. White wire shelving unit
2. 4 Metal plates, with pre drilled holes (Available at Menards, in the metal bracket section)
3. 2 14 inch long bunjee cords

TOOLS NEEDED
Larger heavy metal work bench vise
Hammer
Screwdriver

PROCEDURE FOR LOBO RACK or STORAGE RACK 
1. Place the small metal plates into the vice and using a hammer bend them to form a L shape.
2. Do this for all 4 of them.
3. Remove factory screws.
4. Place the screw into the metal L shape's you just made.
5. Screw back into frame.
